Wah

The Wah pedal became world famous during the rock explosion of the 60s and 70s, thanks to some heavy users of this effect such as Jimi Hendrix. The Wah pedal is basically a tone control, like the one we can find in the form of a potentiometer on our guitar, but since it has a pedal format, it can be operated with the foot while we play and includes a band pass filter that selects a specific group of frequencies and modifies its gain. The result is that mythical wah-wah sound (hence its name) that works perfectly with certain solos or rhythmic passages.
