Reverb

Probably the best known effect. Reverb is nothing more than the sound of reflections that a sound produces when it hits a surface. This type of effect allows us several things: from placing the sound of our guitar in space, moving away or closer to the listener, to fattening the sound or generating extreme effects.

There are several types of reverb. If we look at how they “emulate” these reflections, we can start by dividing them into 2: analog and digital. That is, there are pedals that use an analog device or artifact (such as springs, plates, etc.) to reproduce the reflections, and then there are digital ones that simulate them through algorithms using modeling technology. The interesting thing is that digital reverbs are capable of emulating analog ones too, although many still prefer the latter.
