Martin’s Steel String Backpacker Guitar is a lightweight, durable, steel string travel guitar that is easy to play and to tune. Designed to fit in the smallest places, it is made of solid wood and includes certified pieces of sustainable wood. It’s also one of Martin’s most affordable options.

Although its hardware is basic, each of its components perfectly fulfills its functions. The tuning of the guitar is maintained for long periods and the bridge provides first-class intonation and action right from the start.

This instrument is perfect for travelling: with a length of less than a meter and barely 2 kg in weight, you’ll have no trouble carrying it as carry-on luggage on the plane.  And despite its size, this guitar produces a surprisingly robust sound, similar to that of a banjo, but still resonant and strong thanks to its mahogany body.
