Jackson’s JJ1 is, like all rarities, something unique. It is one of the first signature models built for Scott Ian, guitarist and songwriter of the historic trash metal band Anthrax. For more exclusivity, this guitar is one of the few built in korina wood, since most of this series, already limited in itself, were built with alder wood. And of course, the dice inlay at the 12th fret and its Seymour Duncan SH-4 (bridge) and SH-2 (neck) pickups should be noted.
A light and very comfortable guitar to play, with a powerful sound as you would expect from one of the pillars of ‘trash metal‘, thanks both to the push of its pickups and to the tonal properties of korina wood, especially known for providing a great resonance. But in addition to being powerful when used with distortion, this guitar has a tone that is both controlled and cleanly articulated, which also makes it a very versatile guitar.
This one that you see in the images is from the mid-90s, a true relic in perfect condition, both for collectors and guitarists who need a reliable, well-built instrument, with great sound and very comfortable to play. And besides, at this price, it becomes a real bargain. If not, compare prices with guitars with similar features. An exclusive guitar, for exclusive people.
