Made in Germany is something that Germans are very proud of. Without a doubt, their reputation for being committed, meticulous and methodical people has made their instruments synonymous with quality. Basically, they like things to go well, as planned, and they don’t tolerate failure very well. Warwick is a clear example of this. Throughout the years, thanks to its unwavering commitment to quality, Warwick has grown exponentially encompassing almost the entire planet, having headquarters in Markneukirchen (Germany), Shanghai (China), and Nashville (USA).
The bass you see in the pictures is made in Markneukirchen, and belongs to one of their highest ranges (Teambuilt), only below the Masterbuilt range. This is a special edition 4 and 5 string basses limited to only 100 units worldwide. We have one of each.
These basses are made by a small group of luthiers who put their decades of knowledge into every detail, using exquisite woods and high-quality components to create practically perfect basses.
Specifically, this Thumb BO is a 4-string bass made of solid mahogany wood with a burl Mahogany top and an Ovangkol neck with a wild mahogany fingerboard. Assemble 2 active MEC J-Bass pickups with black top, 2-piece Warwick 3D bridge and Just a Nut III in brass. No detail has been left to chance. A true example of why Germany is so proud of ‘Made in Germany’.
