Soldano 44 Combo Amp (Navy Blue Sparkle Grille)

Description

The SOLDANO 44 is a compact 1×12 combo based on the Normal channel of the SLO in the Crunch mode, with reverb, making it tonally similar to our ASTROVERB 16 and REVERB-O-SONIC COMBO amplifiers.  The 44 is the result of a request by James Burke of Blues City Music.  What James wanted, basically, was our ASTROVERB 16 but with 50 watts of power. The idea was “Big sound, tiny box” – and it worked!  The 44 is extremely versatile and can get sounds from “classic Nashville clean” to great blues tones with just the right amount of grit.

The controls are Preamp, Reverb, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence, as well as Normal and Lead Master Volumes.  The additional Lead Master Volume control is footswitch activated and can be used as a volume boost for solos if desired.  A rotary Impedance selector switch allows compatibility with 4, 8, or 16 ohm speaker loads.  As with all Soldano amplifiers, two speaker jacks are provided to facilitate use of an extension speaker cabinet.
