Paul Reed Smith has earned his place in the Olympus of guitar builders. Considered one of the most reliable brands in the world, there is not a single instrument in its production that does not pass a thorough quality control. And its basses could not be less. Yes, many won’t know, but PRS builds basses too. And very good.
An example is this PRS SE Kestrel, a single coil pickup bass with a classic design with PRS’s attention to detail and workmanship. Constructed from solid alder wood, the Kestrel incorporates two punchy 4B ‘S’ pickups that deliver a rich harmonic midrange, especially suited to those who slap or play rock. This bass has growl to burn!
A bass designed in the PRS store in Maryland, with a Kestrel alder body and modern neck construction that provide a sustained and even tone. The maple / walnut neck has been meticulously designed, and the 34 ”scale length makes for an instantly comfortable bass. This one that you see in the images is a B-Stock with some minimal marks of use with a very attractive price.
