Guild has produced some of the most iconic guitars in history over the years. Founded in 1952 in Manhattan by former Epiphone executive George Mann, the iconic company has spread its good name across the globe, most notably for its expertise in archtop jazz guitars. Needless to say that the quality of its products is beyond doubt, as with this Guild X-160B Savoy from 1991.
It is a hollow guitar built in curly maple with a rounded Venetian cutaway and a Bigsby Original with a wooden saddle. A rosewood fingerboard, Glover tuners and bone saddle complete the specifications. This “blonde” (model’s B stands for Blonde), introduced by Guild in 1990 is certainly hard to find, especially in these good condition.
A guitar that will obviously delight those fans of jazz, rockabilly or blues with the advantages of a modern construction and design.
