Without a doubt, the Fender Stratocaster “Blackie” is the most iconic guitar from Slowhand, better known as Eric Clapton (or God to his most die-hard fans). He used it uninterruptedly for about 15 years until he had to retire it and, even so, he never fully parted with it. At least until he auctioned it off in 2004 for close to $ 1 million.
The funny thing about this guitar is that it was made from parts of three old Stratocasters that he bought at a Nashville store, using the body of a ’56 Stratocaster, the neck from a ’57 and the pickups from a third Strat. The one you see in the pictures is a 2003 reissue with a solid alder body, maple neck and fingerboard, bone nut, Fender Vintage tuners and 3 Vintage Noiseless single pickups.
It is a second-hand guitar but in perfect condition, a reissue supervised by Eric Clapton himself, affordable, of great quality and sound.
