The Alhambra 7PA is a Spanish classic guitar made of solid woods and with German Spruce on the top. It is built of ebony for the fretboard and Indian Rosewood for back and sides. The German Spruce, besides giving it a lighter finish, generates a very interesting tonal difference. The sound has more sustain since the vibration is longer. It is often said that guitars with Spruce top are perfect for rooms with a “dry sound”. But that choice remains in the hands of the interpreter and will depend on the sound you want to get from it.

It is a conservatory guitar with a concert size, and therefore it measures 10,6 cm. in the widest part and 10 cm. in the narrowest. The sound is rich, clear and is a very versatile guitar handmade in Spain and with the excellent quality of Alhambra Guitars.

First: the Alhambra 7PA is a fine guitar! All massive woods, full concert size, fine and perfect handcraftship. But for the prize around 1000,- eur one could get a bone saddle and bone nut instead of plastic pieces. Ok, every experienced player knows how to change this parts and he has some in his guitar repair box. So that’s not the real problem. But the tuners are of poor quality and I will change them for some better ones. All this reminds me buying Fender, Gibson or Martin guitars … if it’s not the most expensive one, you have to change some parts to get a real fine guitar.
The sound of the Alhambra 7PA is fine but without a wow effect. I hope that the spruce top will develop as time goes by.
The service of FanaticGuitars was excellent!
So all in all I’m satisfied!
